Just thought you may want to ask yourself how this scripture applies in JW doctrines?
(Revelation 12:5-6) 5" And she gave birth to a son, a male, who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was caught away to God and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and sixty days. "

26 How long did this respite for the seed of God’s woman last? Revelation 12:6 says 1,260 days. Revelation 12:14 calls the period a time, times, and half a time; in other words, three and a half times. In fact, both expressions stand for three and a half years, extending in the Northern Hemisphere from the spring of 1919 to the autumn of 1922 . This was a period of refreshing recuperation and reorganization for the restored John class.
Do you notice how the Current teaching from the book JW's have just studied recently, applies it?
This book says it applies to a literal period of time during the early part of the last century. But I would ask you does this 1260 days (or 3 and a half times) sound familiar?
It should because the 7 times (or Gentile times) chronology is built squarely on top of it. Without this one scripture there is no 2520 days, no 7 times and no 1914. So why have the Governing Body said that this was fulfilled in the above quote?
Moreover does it seem reasonable to apply this VERY SAME scripture to a period supposedly beginning some 2500 years in the past (607 B.C.E.) and then give another completely unrelated application of it in a modern day setting (1919-1922)?
Where is the scriptural imperative that allows for anyone to do this?
I'm sure you realise the importance of Jehovah's Witnesses 1914 doctrine. Without they have no special meaning and no special message to deliver.
The way that 1914 is arrived at is completely arbitrary from a Biblical perspective, but this is overlooked by all who profess to believe, as the "appointment" of the WTBTS and it's leaders is solely contingent on them being correct about this belief.
Do your self a favour and find one, just one, modern scholar who is not connected with Jehovah's Witnesses who will agree with the Watchtower date of 607 BCE for the destruction of Jerusalem at the hands of Babylon.
I can assure you that it is impossible.
The truth is hard to take, but that does not mean it's the not the truth, and wanting or needing something to be true when it plainly isn't does not make it any less of a lie.

To some , going along to their phoney religious court is a waste of time when you know they don't really care about your rights or things being done in an orderly fair manner.
I knew if I didn't go along they would have had a few nights off and a bit less hassle and would have been promptly DF'd. I didn't want them to think I was in any way fearful of their pathetic Committee.
Remember how in the story of David v Goliath he felled him with a small stone? I'm hopefull that at least some of the guys in that JC will have got one between the eyes , which may come back to their minds in the future.
Remember also how in the story David takes the Sword from Goliath and cuts his head off? The fact I recorded what they said and did and used it against them by putting it on the net for all to hear is a powerful weapon which they provided me with.
Anyone who is fair cannot fail to be appalled at what these men did ,all sanctioned by the GB.

I like what you say about him being right so you have to be wrong , so therefore DF'd. Didn't think of it on those terms before you wrote that.
I wonder if this kind of personality develops in those who immerse themselves so completely in the WTS life (Paul went to mts etc.)???
In any case I would be happy if he came out but we weren't really close and like you said probably wouldn't have hung out if we were not related.
the overwhelming feeling I have towards him is one of pity. Pity that he is so lost and yet thinks he is not. A deluded haughty person all thanks to the good old Watchtower.

I was very annoyed by the fact they would not allow the witnesses to answer some of my questions which were entirely relevant to the testimony.
It just goes to show that they were only interested in the task in hand , namely me being DF'd and me asking them anything was only a minor detour along the way.
I knew that I was going to be disfellowshipped in any case whether I attended or not so I thought I may as well go along for the experience and record it for the purpose of exposing their two bit lies and shambolic performances.
The fact I can use this against them and help others made it well worth attending.

Edit. Ron Moffat actually met me once before at a Bishopbriggs Congregation karaoke night in which he introduced himself and asked which congregation I was from.........
Correct. There was nothing legal, just or fair about this "process". They dress it up to appear they are impartial and seeking to "help" me when really as a body they have decided that they wanted me out at the direction of their leader who had the encounter with me at the hall in podcast 8.
These guys as a body got together and asked, a bit like the Sanhedrin did ,how they can get some evidence together against me , who will fill what roles and who will play the role of the "two Witnesses" and so on.
This will become clear as you listen. I already fatally undermined Paul Barrie's testimony against me that I was "teaching" by pointing out as he said that there was "no suggestion" I had been doing it.
I have the whole conversation recorded in which he exempts me from any blame whatsoever regarding who the recent local needs talk (about apostasy) had been directed at. Talk about 30 pieces of silver. This man was willing to sell out his own fleshly brother and give a complete opposite testimony at the judicial to that which he had twice stated along with Ronnie Hunter that I was not "teaching or spreading" views I may have held.
All for the sake of the glorious Watchtower Society fronted up by the Governing Body and their rules.
